Due to an extended illness in the family, I will be traveling to Georgia the week of Thanksgiving. A guest teacher will be in my room during those 3 days. Please do not leave any messages on my voicemail as the guest teacher cannot access it. Instead, relay all messages through the front office. I will return Monday, December 1. Enjoy your Thanksgiving! Check out the newsletter for all the latest information: newsletter 11-21-08

Today was Apple Day and the Harvest Sale. We used our apples for all sorts of math activities, including graphing and measurement. We also made (and ate) our own applesauce. The Harvest Sale was wonderful! Many thanks go to our Reading Buddies in Mrs. Kole’s class who helped us as we purchased items at the sale. The children really enjoyed themselves! Next week is Spirit Week and Popcorn Day. Please see the attached newsletter for all the latest information. newsletter October 3, 2008

Our class has reading buddies with Mrs. Kole’s class on Thursday afternoons. We spend a half-hour taking turns reading to one another. This gives all students the opportunity to practice their reading skills as well as enjoy new friends.
