1. ALLEGRO AUDITIONS: final call-backs are TONIGHT (Thursday). Congratulations to all who got called back for round three! Remember we need to get down to the top 25 guys and top 25 girls….It’s going to get really tuff now. This is it people….BRING IT.

2. BRAZIL PASSPORTS: The Muskegon City Hall (near the county building, across from the fire station) will be holding a passport clinic on Nov. 3rd from 8:30am until 2pm. If do not get your passport applied for by Oct. 31, make sure you go to this event and get this done on Nov. 3rd!!!! There was an article in the Muskeon Chronicle’s paper on Tuesday regarding this clinic.

If you decide to do this, you will need to fill out your form in advance of arrival. You can download the form online as well. Here is the address: http://travel.state.gov/passport. Do NOT sign the form until you are in front of the people!!!!!

Tickets will also be on sale on Thursday for parents and MSHS staff only. (Your parent must bring the letter regarding buying your tickets early that we recently sent home in the mail. This proves you are a choir parent!) There will be no ticket sales on Friday. Tickets will be for sale to the general public beginning on Saturday during the annual bazaar/craft fair at the high school. Beginning Monday, tickets will be available at any Meijer outlet as well as at starticketsplus.com or at the Frauenthal. 4. SINGING TREE EXTRA REHEARSALS (OUTSIDE OF SCHOOL): Also, Singing Tree “Monday Rehearsals” begin on November 5th with an all girls only rehearsal in the choir room from 3pm-5pm. The next week (Nov. 12th) is all guys from 3pm-5pm. The following Monday (Nov. 19th) rehearsal has been canceled. There are also rehearsals on Thursday, Nov. 29th (11am-1pm: It’s a 1/2 day…) and we also have Friday, Nov. 30th as a final rehearsal if needed (It’s a day off from school…we will see how things are going!). These rehearsals are mandatory and are a very important part of the preparations for a successful concert!

5. COUPON BOOK SALE: Coupon book orders are due Nov. 8th. Books will come in around 1 week later. All money MUST accompany your order.

6. BARBERSHOP HARMONY WORKSHOP: Barbershop kids. The event is this week Saturday. See me for some info. about the event. Check in is at Reeths-Puffer H.S. between 9:30am and 10:30am.

7. UNIFORM REPAIR: If your uniform is in need of ANY repairs, or your shoes do not fit, you must bring them in for repair/exchange by this week Friday (Nov. 2nd). Do not wait as we cannot fix tons of uniforms just before Singing Tree!!

8. WATER BOTTLE SALE: We are going to be selling a MSHS Choir water bottle. We need you to sign up if you want to buy one. They will be $10 each. A sheet went around yesterday in class. It is called “Enjoy the City–Lakeshore and Surrounding Areas.” This book is only $20 and is packed full of useful and valuable coupons for many area business establishments. If a student sells 5 books, he/she will get a free one! Also, after selling just two books for the choir, the rest of the books you sell will be profit that will go into an account for YOU!! We get 50% profit per book ($10). You can use this money for our Chicago Trip or our Brazil Trip!

9. Allegro Bye, Bye Birdie auditions begin one week from this Monday!!! Frankly, due to the over 130 people that are auditioning, accomodating individual schedule requests in nearly impossible. This is why we gave you these audition dates on the first day of school. On the other hand, if you do have a conflict you TRULY feel is unavoidable, please give me a note that describes the conflict and let me know what will work for you. Realize, that NOT auditioning with the other students in your grade level is a disadvantage….Auditions will begin at 3pm each of the three days of the auditions.
