UPDATE!!! Our cheesecake was delivered yesterday (Tuesday) It is very important that the cakes get picked up immediately, if they haven’t been already. As usual, we began the day with a series of warm-ups followed by a sight-singing exercise. We have 21 different days of warm-ups (4 different warm-ups each day) and each of the choirs is singing from a different level of difficulty sight reading book.

NEW!! Congratulations to the cast, crew and directors of “You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown.” It was an outstanding show. Thanks also to all the high school choir students that attended the production!

NEW!! The 20 voice, extracurricular group, Chamber Choir, earned a division one rating at Solo and Ensemble Festival this past weekend. Congratulations….NICE SINGING!

NEW!! Congratulations to all solo and ensemble participants on preparing for and doing your personal best at Solo and Ensemble this past Saturday. Hopefully, you felt successful and maybe learned something new too.

Due to the hazardous driving conditions caused by the nasty weather, the Collage Concert has been canceled for today. Many roads are snow covered, icy and slippery, winds are high causing low visibility and it is quite cold. Not the greatest of conditions for a concert!

We just do not feel it is safe for people, especially our students, to be driving today.

Additionally, we feel attracting a sizable audience in these conditions is nearly impossible. We do not see the value in bringing together over 500 students and performing for a handful of people!

We hope to reschedule Collage in the near future. Details will follow after we all take a look at all our various calendars.

Thanks in advance for your understanding and cooperation…and stay warm. I’m pretty tuff when it comes to “snowdays” but this one is pretty bad!

The middle school musical, “You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown” opened last night. tonight! (Thursday) and will also play tonight (Friday) and Saturday nights. Cost is $6. The show is in the middle school auditorium and it starts at 7:30pm. Tickets are available at the door. It is a really good show!!!

The Collage Concert is this Sunday (February 10th) at 3pm in the MSHS Performing Arts Center (PAC). Students, don’t forget to get your ticket for the 1st act if you are coming for that act. This is a really unique concert that features not only all of our choir students but the top performers in the choir, band and orchestra, chosen by audition. As usual, we began the day with a series of warm-ups followed by a sight-singing exercise. We have 21 different days of warm-ups (4 different warm-ups each day) and each of the choirs is singing from a different level of difficulty sight reading book.
