Dear Cast, Pit and Crew,

Congratulations on a wonderful production!  Marcia and I had an absolutely wonderful night attending the production of Bye Bye Birdie.  You should all be very proud of the quality show that you are providing for the people in the Norton Shores area.  I can only hope that the buzz from Thursday night’s show will encourage more people to attend as the week goes on.  I am constantly amazed at the talent that comes out of Mona Shores. You have definitely kept up the tradition of a first rate production.  It was truly a blast to be able to sit out in the audience for the first time in 8 years.  To be able to laugh at all of the lines that I have heard over and over in rehearsals, to perspire when a scene became an ad lib improvisation, to be able to sing along inside to every word, and to envision panicking parents backstage when the wrong set piece is flown in.  It’s so magical to see the transformation from the dance room to the stage.  Have a wonderful run for the rest of the week, may you all break legs. I am so proud of all of you.

Hugs to all,

Mr. D’Oyly

ALLEGROS DID YOU PAY BROOKLYN MEDENDORP $5 ?!

Purchasers can choose to buy flowers at $2 each or bouquets of 3 for $5. The candy bag prices are $5 and also include free backstage delivery. This is a fun fundraiser for the Allegros, so we encourage parents, friends and cast & crew to participate! : )

Cast Party: Seniors bring food (chips, cookies, etc.). Juniors, Sophomores and Freshman bring Drinks (water, juice and pop). Brooke still needs $5 from a number of you….!!!

Any Allegro who wants a “Tips For Maintaining a Healthy Voice” article, they are up here in the front of the room (See Mr. Lawton).

ALLEGROS REMINDER: PLEASE DO NOT PUT ANYTHING BUT PROPS ON THE PROP’S TABLES!!

Mrs. Barnard is going to be selling photo DVD’s for just $10. Order forms should be available today.

NEW AND REALLY IMPORTANT!! We are in need of one parent to sell tickets before the Saturday evening show (7:30pm) and to handle the ticket money. I have two students signed up for this shift, but I think we should have an adult as well. You will need to be there at least one hour before the show to sell the tickets. Contact me at 780-4711 ext. 8319 if you can do this (or email me at lawtons@monashores.net). Thanks!

UPDATED!! We have decided that food between shows on Saturday is the responsibility of the student. We are recommending that students either bring something for dinner with them in the afternoon when they come in for the matinee, or have someone bring them food at the break between shows (approximately 5:45pm). As a last result, students can go pick something up and bring it back.

NEW!! Remember cast, crew and pit: Please park in the athletic wing parking lot. The doors will be unlocked so you can walk through the school.
