Updates For Students, Parents and the Community

If anyone has some extra Brazilian paper currency, George from Airport Tour and Travel (on Seaway Drive near Seminole) will exchange it back to US Currency. If you have any currency to exchange, please have it to him by Friday, July 18. He gets charged a flat fee for exchanging money and that will be split amongst those changing money. I know that there are two people (one being me) for sure going to do this which will make the fee less than the bank. Remember, bring it in by Friday. —D’Oyly

As you are most likely aware, one of our choir students, Matthew Peterson, lost his stepfather Troy Vanderstelt on Tuesday, July 1, 2008.

I just learned from the Orton family (through Forest Park Church) that TONIGHT (Saturday, July 5th) at the Cinema Carousel there will be a  9:25pm showing of “The Incredible Hulk” where all proceeds will benefit the Troy VanderStelt Scholarship Trust. (Matt and Lainey will not be in attendance this evening).

Further, there will be A CELEBRATION of Troy’s life at 11:00 AM Monday at Forest Park Covenant Church, 3815 Henry with Rev. Russell Carlson officiating. There will also be a VISITATION at The Lee Chapel Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 6291 S. Harvey St. (231) 798-1100 will be from 2-4 & 6-8 PM Sunday. You may sign the family’s on-line guest book at www.sytsemafh.com. Contributions in memory of Troy may be made to the Troy VanderStelt Scholarship Trust, c/o Community Shores Bank, 1030 W.
