The dates of the Singing Christmas Tree are Thursday, Dec. 4 and Fri. Dec. 5th at 7:30pm and Sat., Dec. 6th at 3pm and 7:30pm. The ticket price is $12.00 ($10.00 for limited view seating). Dress rehearsal on Wednesday is by invitation only.

GO! stands for Gathering of the Otaku. Well the con is like a small ANIME CONVENTION, which I will attach a link to this e-mail for you to see. Its for all people who like anime/manga, video games, or for those who just want to hang out in a fun and safe enviroment. Anyone is invited, including small children as long as thier parents stay with them. There is no dress code (besides no nudity…!) for this special GO!, though we find it more enjoyable if you come in costume, preferably anime/manga or halloween dress-up. We will carpool over to the church. The service starts at 9am and parents are invited.

Additionally, all students are selling a truly valuable coupon book with many local establishments. Combine these coupons with scrip and you could do pretty well!! Think of the possibilities!!!

The book costs $20 (there is a coupon for a Free oil change at Firestone valued at $28.99 right on the first page, not to mention the pages of local restaurants as well…The coupons are good until through next December. The choir makes $20 per book. For seniors going on the NYC trip, sell two books for the choir and any books sold after that you will make all the profit for your NCY account.

These sales both end on Monday, Nov. 10th. Students have the option of collecting the money up front or when they deliver the product. The products will come in mid-November.

There are a variety of prizes available for the cookie dough sale. For the coupon book sale, if a students sells 5 books, they receive one free book and they are invited to a pizza party. For every 10 books sold, they receive a $10 gift card.

Caleb Fiori (former MSHS Choir Member-’08 Grad.) stopped in to let us know of a concert presented by the Muskegon Community College Student Government Association (of which Caleb is a representative). The band will be “Four Finger Five” and band includes former (and outstanding!!) Mona Shores High School students Mike Phillips (bass) and Steve Harris (drums). The concert will be on Friday, October 24th at 8pm at the Overbrook Theater on the campus of MCC. The cost is only $4 for high school aged students. They were “discovered” on Myspace and invited to take part in a concert/competition in which they can win studio time! You can get tickets from them in advance–$12 each.
