REMINDER: Allegro auditions are NEXT WEEK! They are on Monday, Oct. 27, Tuesday, Oct. 28 and Thursday, Oct. 30th. The music has now been posted as well. I was unable to cut the music so you will hear (for now) the piece in its entirety. Go to “Blogroll” on the right of this blog and follow the link for “Little Shop of Horrors Practice Place.”

REMINDER!! The “Next Big Thing” Check out Tyler Horringa and Trevor Zorn at the Orbit room (in Grand Rapids) on Saturday, Nov. 1st. They were “discovered” on Myspace and invited to take part in a concert/competition in which they can win studio time! You can get tickets from them in advance–$12 each. See the poster on the cabinet for more details!

THIS FRIDAY!! Caleb Fiori (former MSHS Choir Member-’08 Grad.) stopped in to let us know of a concert presented by the Muskegon Community College Student Government Association (of which Caleb is a representative). The band will be “Four Finger Five” and band includes former (and outstanding!!) Mona Shores High School students Mike Phillips (bass) and Steve Harris (drums). The concert will be on Friday, October 24th at 8pm at the Overbrook Theater on the campus of MCC. The cost is only $4 for high school aged students. REMINDER!! Coffeehouse Auditions Sign-Up sheet has been posted on the cabinet door in the choir room. Auditions are Nov. 11th!!!

SPECIAL REMINDER!! THE FUND RAISING SALE MONEY WAS DUE LAST WEEK THURSDAY (OCTOBER 16). IF YOU HAVE NOT PAID IT YET, WE WOULD APPRECIATE IT IF ONE CHECK FOR THE GRAND TOTAL COULD BE MADE OUT TO “MONA SHORES CHOIR” RATHER THAN LOTS OF CASH AND/OR CHECKS. THIS WAY, IF A STUDENT LOSES THE MONEY IT WILL BE IN CHECK FORM AND CAN BE MORE EASILY REPLACED. IT ALSO MAKES THINGS MUCH EASIER FOR COUNTING ALL THE FUNDS! THANK-YOU!! PLEASE GET THIS MONEY IN AS SOON AS POSSIBLE, AS WE NEED TO PAY THE COMPANY!
