REMINDER!! SOUTH AFRICA FOR ADULTS IN THE SUMMER OF 2010!!

It seems that during every student tour, the adult staff ponder the idea of traveling without the responsibility of chaperoning the students and doing all the work involved with performing. Just a relaxing time among friends!!

We are now making this dream a reality with a trip to South Africa from June 16-28, 2010. We will be visiting cities such as Johannesburg (and the Kruger National Park-Safari style!), Port Elizabeth on South Africa’s South-Eastern Coast (with a day spent at the Addo Elephant National Park, home to over 200 Elephants!), ride ostriches, travel the Garden Route to Oudtshoorn, visit Robben Island, where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned for 27 years, visit the Cango Wildlife Ranch and Caves and visit Capetown (with a penguin refuge!).

Anyone 18 years or older and that has graduated by June of 2010 is invited. This includes past Shores Choir Trip staff, students and friends of the choir!

For further information and/or to request a brochure, call the Mona Shores High School Choir Office at 780-4711 ext. 8318.

Updated: Tree Merchandise: Mr. Burgam (our videographer) has agreed that if people want their Singing Tree DVD’s (we usually distribute them in class on the last day of school but since we had a snow day that Friday wc aren’t able to do so) you can.

Give him a call to set up a time to pick it up. His phone is: 780-9128.

His address is: 2132 Easthill

Here is a link for directions to get to his home from the high school: http://www.mapquest.com/mq/4-E*1Y

Please make sure you call first as he is a busy guy just like the rest of us! He can also be reached by email at: kjburgam@comcast.net

UPDATE: Also, if you wanted your Tree picture, follow the directions above regarding contacting Mr. Burgam.

Further, as I stated in class before the break, you could write in on your Tree order form that you wanted a compact disc (CD) but that these would not be ready until, most likely, sometime in January.

NEW! Knitting club is switching to two days a week! Every Tuesday and Wednesday it is held from 3-4pm in the choir room. You are not required to attend both Tuesday and Wednesday, this is just to make it more convenient for everyone so they can pick which day to go. Bring your own materials please (knitting needles and yarn)! WE CAN TEACH YOU IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO LEARN! If you need more information, please contact Emily Garrett @ 736-9363. Happy Knitting!
