OUR CONCERT IS THIS SUNDAY!! This Sunday, March 1st, (start time: 4:30pm) is our Festival Concert. Students will need to be checked in between 3:40pm and 4:00pm (at the latest!).Student Exectutive board members need to be ready to check-in students by 3:30pm (at the latest!). The concert is FREE, in our high school performing arts center and ALL are invited to attend! The concert will last about 45 minutes maximum.

REMINDER!! Here are the times for NEXT week Saturday’s District Choral Festival:

Acappella needs to be at the HS by 7:15am. (Take roll) They will need to be on the bus by 7:30am. They will arrive at Rockford HS at about 8:30am. They warm-up at 9:15am. They perform at 9:45am. They have a clinic at 10:00am. They sight-read at 10:15am. Back on the bus for the trip home at approximately 10:45am. Arrive at MSHS at about 11:45am.

Singers needs to be at the HS by 8:45am. (Take roll) They will need to be on the bus by 9am. They will arrive at Rockford HS at about 10am. They will warm-up at 10:45am. They perform at 11:15am. This is a Central Park Players (CPP) production. They will be in a NEW location: White Pines Middle School at 1400 S. Griffin, in Grand Haven. SOUTH AFRICA FOR ADULTS IN THE SUMMER OF 2010!!

It seems that during every student tour, the adult staff ponder the idea of traveling without the responsibility of chaperoning the students and doing all the work involved with performing. Just a relaxing time among friends!!

We are now making this dream a reality with a trip to South Africa from June 16-28, 2010. We will be visiting cities such as Johannesburg (and the Kruger National Park-Safari style!), Port Elizabeth on South Africa’s South-Eastern Coast (with a day spent at the Addo Elephant National Park, home to over 200 Elephants!), ride ostriches, travel the Garden Route to Oudtshoorn, visit Robben Island, where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned for 27 years, visit the Cango Wildlife Ranch and Caves and visit Capetown (with a penguin refuge!).

Anyone 18 years or older and that has graduated by June of 2010 is invited. This includes past Shores Choir Trip staff, students and friends of the choir!

WE ARE REQUESTING THAT PARTICIPANTS START MAKING PAYMENTS BY APRIL 1ST (at the latest) IN REGARD TO THIS TRIP (A $100 deposit is due in January, with $225 payments due in both February and March. NEW!! Biggby Coffee (3295 Henry St.-in front of Wal-Mart) is hosting an Open Mic Night on Friday, March 6th, 7pm-9pm. A sound system, keyboard and CD player will be available. 3D Movie…”A Bug’s Life”

FLORIDA UPDATE!! Today was the hottest day yet with Tempertatures hovering around 80! We spent the day in Animal Kingdom today with the big highlights being the Himalayin/Yedi ride (the names escape me right now…) and the Dinosaur ride. Jessie (age 5!) rode both by my side…I was stunned! We came back a bit early tonight and hit the huge pool. All in all, another excellent day!

UPDATED!! Since I did not get an update today, I am just going to believe everything went SWELL!!! Be good people. See you soon.

MONEY DUE BY TODAY!!  Money is due, AT THE LATEST, on TODAY (Thursday, February 12th). Cakes can be frozen for up to 6 months and are all pre-sliced. They can be thawed and refrozen as well. The cakes have a refrigeration shelf life of 5 days. Thanks again for your support!

Fri, Feb. 13th- “Have-a-Heart” Benefit Concert for Leah Davidson who is challenged with Osteogenesis Imperfecta (OI). Tickets are $6 for adults and $4 for students. There will be silent auction as well. Many MSHS singers, soloists, etc. have volunteered to perform. SOUTH AFRICA FOR ADULTS IN THE SUMMER OF 2010!!

It seems that during every student tour, the adult staff ponder the idea of traveling without the responsibility of chaperoning the students and doing all the work involved with performing. Just a relaxing time among friends!!

We are now making this dream a reality with a trip to South Africa from June 16-28, 2010. We will be visiting cities such as Johannesburg (and the Kruger National Park-Safari style!), Port Elizabeth on South Africa’s South-Eastern Coast (with a day spent at the Addo Elephant National Park, home to over 200 Elephants!), ride ostriches, travel the Garden Route to Oudtshoorn, visit Robben Island, where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned for 27 years, visit the Cango Wildlife Ranch and Caves and visit Capetown (with a penguin refuge!).

Anyone 18 years or older and that has graduated by June of 2010 is invited. This includes past Shores Choir Trip staff, students and friends of the choir!

WE ARE REQUESTING THAT PARTICIPANTS START MAKING PAYMENTS BY APRIL 1ST (at the latest) IN REGARD TO THIS TRIP (A $100 deposit is due in January, with $225 payments due in both February and March.
