REMINDER!! This Sunday, March 1st, (start time: 4:30pm) is our Festival Concert. You will need to be checked in between 3:40pm and 4:00pm (at the latest!).Student Exectutive board members need to be ready to check-in students by 3:30pm (at the latest!). The concert is FREE, in our high school performing arts center and ALL are invited to attend!

Acappella needs to be at the HS by 7:15am. (Take roll) They will need to be on the bus by 7:30am. They will arrive at Rockford HS at about 8:30am. They warm-up at 9:15am. They perform at 9:45am. They have a clinic at 10:00am. They sight-read at 10:15am. Back on the bus for the trip home at approximately 10:45am. Arrive at MSHS at about 11:45am.

REMINDER!!The musical, “Once upon a Mattress, featuring our own, Heather Benson (as Princess Winnefred–Fred for short!) is going to be presented on Feb. 26, 27 @ 8pm and Feb. 28 @ 2pm and 8pm. This is a Central Park Players (CPP) production. They will be in a NEW location: White Pines Middle School at 1400 S. Griffin, in Grand Haven. REMINDER!! The following people will need to be at rehearsal starting at 6pm this week Thursday to get their HEADSHOTS taken. We are also taking the full cast picture during this evening’s rehearsal so everyone be prepared for that as well.

8:15-9pm-Review Suppertime and Sominex (Audrey’s Death) (The 6, Seymour, Audrey and the Plant Dancers)
On Thursday, just a reminder we have the cast picture at 6:30pm and head shots start at 6pm (see above). We will be staging the finale and the bows (full cast is needed).
FINALLY, WE WILL BE MEETING IN THE AUDITORIUM TONIGHT AND TOMORROW NIGHT.
REMINDER!!The Feb. 1st deadline for payment on the senior trip to NYC is now past. Keep in mind a late fee of $10 is added to payments made after the due date. The LAST payment for NYC is due by March 1st and will be $150. If you sold cookie dough or coupon books, see Mr. D’Oyly to determine what your final balance (if any) is for this last payment.
NEW!! ALSO, SINCE THE FINAL PAYMENT IS DUE ON A SUNDAY AGAIN (MARCH 1ST) THE PAYMENT WILL BE DUE ON FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 27TH. MR. D’OYLY HAS PREPARED A FINAL BILLING STATEMENT FOR EACH PERSON GOING ON THE TRIP AND THESE HAVE BEEN DISTRIBUTED TO THE STUDENTS IN CLASS. SOUTH AFRICA FOR ADULTS IN THE SUMMER OF 2010!!

It seems that during every student tour, the adult staff ponder the idea of traveling without the responsibility of chaperoning the students and doing all the work involved with performing. Just a relaxing time among friends!!
We are now making this dream a reality with a trip to South Africa from June 16-28, 2010. We will be visiting cities such as Johannesburg (and the Kruger National Park-Safari style!), Port Elizabeth on South Africa’s South-Eastern Coast (with a day spent at the Addo Elephant National Park, home to over 200 Elephants!), ride ostriches, travel the Garden Route to Oudtshoorn, visit Robben Island, where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned for 27 years, visit the Cango Wildlife Ranch and Caves and visit Capetown (with a penguin refuge!).
Anyone 18 years or older and that has graduated by June of 2010 is invited. This includes past Shores Choir Trip staff, students and friends of the choir!
