My name is Jill McMahon and I have been living in west Michigan for the past 12 years with my husband, Rich, and our two children.  My son, Jay, is in ninth grade at Mona Shores High School and my daughter, Diana, is in fifth grade at Lincoln Park Elementary.  We like to spend time together as a family reading,  playing games, and doing out door activities such as swimming in the summer and sledding in the winter. We are a family of cat lovers and currently have two cats, Samantha and Otis.  I grew up in western Pennsylvania and attended college at the University of Pittsburgh. Coming from Pennsylvania, my husband, son, and I are avid Pittsburgh Steeler fans.  My daughter and I enjoy playing with her American Girl dolls, Barbies, and doll house.  I am currently attending Grand Valley State University and working toward a masters degree in reading.  In my spare time I like to read historical fiction and non-fiction books as well as mystery stories.  I have been teaching here at Ross Park for six years now.   The first two years I was a long term guest teacher in first, second, and fifth grades.  I am so fortunate to be teaching in the Mona Shores district.  It is wonderful to be part of a staff that is so dedicated to the success of every child.
